Each semester, ESN Maribor organizes the Welcome Weeks, a series of events designed to help Erasmus students meet new people, build friendships, and become part of the local and international student community. Popular activities include Pub Crawl, Timber Rafting, Slovenian Dinner, Wine Tasting, Sports Day, and Speed Friending, offering something for every interest.

In addition to local events, ESN Maribor organizes semester trips, including the well-known Slovenia Trip and Balkan Trip, giving students the opportunity to explore new destinations, experience different cultures, and create lasting memories.

The activities continue long after Welcome Weeks conclude. Throughout the semester, students can participate in parties, pub quizzes, cultural gatherings, excursions, and many other events, ensuring that there is always an opportunity to connect, learn, and have fun.

The Welcome Weeks 2026, held between 5 and 16 October, featured a diverse program of social, cultural, sports, and outdoor activities. Students were able to choose from a wide range of events and experiences, ensuring that everyone could find something that matched their interests. The program provided an excellent opportunity for international students to discover Maribor, build new friendships, and begin their Erasmus journey in a welcoming environment.

ESN Maribor, as part of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN), continues to play an important role in supporting international students throughout their stay in Slovenia and fostering connections that often last well beyond the Erasmus exchange.
