Published: 2. 3. 2026

Dear Erasmus students,

Your exchange in another country has already begun, which means you are meeting new people from different countries and getting to know their unique culture.

We would like to give you an opportunity to know more about Slovenian culture through lectures, workshops, and real experiences by visiting primary schools. This project is called Erasmus in Schools and it consist of:

Lectures on 5 different topics (All the lectures will be obligatory since they are important for your further activities in the project!):

  1. a) public speaking : how to practice and prepare for public presentation, what are the most important things to focus on when speaking publicly in front of a group of people.
  2. b) Intercultural communication: communication barriers are not only language based, so what are verbal and non-verbal interactions between people, especially when they are from different cultural background and how do we interpret them.
  3. c) Slovene culture : basics on Slovene society, tradition, history, …
  4. d) Teamwork: why is this a crucial skill for you, what is group dynamic, why do you need to know how to collaborate/work well together in different circumstances.
  5. e) Communication with children and adult

Individual work on preparation for visiting different institution.

The knowledge you will gain at lectures will be used in practice when visiting different institutions in the local community:

  • Primary School: prepare a presentation about your country, culture and share your experience with children
