Date: 3 June–6 June 2025
Organisation: Faculty of Logistics
Venue: Celje, Slovenia
The main goal of the Green Hackathon is to organize a professional competition focused on developing entrepreneurial ideas in the field of short food supply chains. As part of the CEEPUS program, the event encourages sustainable and innovative solutions that reduce intermediaries in food distribution, aiming for a greener future.
Participants will also benefit from expert lectures delivered by professionals in entrepreneurship and innovation from Slovenia, as well as presentations of best practices and successful projects conducted at the Faculty of Logistics. These sessions will enhance students’ transferable skills and entrepreneurial knowledge.
The hackathon serves as the final event of a joint project task, which students from universities in Slovenia, Croatia, Slovakia, and Hungary have been working on as part of their coursework in economics and entrepreneurship. The task has been coordinated among partner universities and integrated into students’ practical sessions throughout the semester.
This international and interdisciplinary event offers a unique opportunity for students to collaborate, innovate, and contribute to sustainable food systems.
