Organization, Management and Society is an international Blended Intensive Programme was organised by the Faculty of Organizational Sciences at the University of Maribor and implemented as a summer school combining virtual preparation with an intensive on-site programme.
The virtual component introduced students to the programme structure, teaching staff, and key thematic areas, and included expert lectures on sustainability in the digital era and the role of generative artificial intelligence in organisations. It also served as a platform for presenting the results of a case study competition and for overall programme evaluation.
The physical mobility focused on organisation and management in the context of digital transformation and artificial intelligence. Through expert lectures, interactive workshops, and collaborative group work, students explored organisational processes, human resource management, information systems, creativity, and data-driven decision-making. A central element of the programme was a case study challenge developed in cooperation with a business partner, enabling students to apply theoretical knowledge to real organisational problems.
Working in international teams, participants strengthened their analytical, communication, and teamwork skills while developing intercultural competence and professional networks. The programme successfully combined theory and practice and provided students with a holistic learning experience relevant to contemporary organisational and managerial challenges. It also contributed to the strengthening of international partnerships and laid the groundwork for future joint educational initiatives.
