We are pleased to announce that this year the Department of Translation Studies, in cooperation with the Directorate-General for Translation at the European Parliament (DG TRAD), is organizing already the 13^th traditional TRANS 2026 Summer Academy and Conference. This year’s programme focuses on the challenges and impacts of translation technology and artificial intelligence for language professionals and translators.

The concept of the TRANS 2026 programme combines both virtual and in-person components and features lectures and hands-on translation workshops led by experienced translators from the European Parliament. The Academy brings together scholars and students from different European universities. In addition to the academic programme, we have prepared engaging and enjoyable social activities, including an excursion in the surrounding area and a train trip to the Slovenian capital.

The programme is organised as an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme and a CEEPUS Intensive Programme. Students are entitled to an Erasmus+ or CEEPUS scholarship for participation in the programme. You can find more information here.
