The Faculty of Arts of the University of Maribor is organising an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme and CEEPUS Summer School “TRANS 2025 – Translation and Sustainable Development”, which will take place in Maribor, Slovenia.
TRANS 2025 brings together students and professors of translation and linguistics from Southeast and Central Europe, including partner universities active in the CEEPUS TRANS network. The programme emphasizes the vital role of translation, interpreting, and intercultural communication in today’s global society, with a focus on sustainable development.
Participants will take part in interactive workshops led by professional translators, including experts from the European Parliament’s Directorate-General for Translation. The programme also includes hands-on activities such as culinary workshops (focused on preparing quick and healthy meals), recipe translation, and a cultural excursion to Ptuj.
This unique combination of academic, practical, and cultural learning offers students an immersive experience and 3 ECTS credits.
The programme is organised as an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme and CEEPUS Summer School. Students are entitled to an Erasmus+ or CEEPUS scholarship for participation in the programme. You can find more information here.
